Phase 1 - Nomination
January 7 - Nomination Period Begins
January 21 - Shepherd nomination forms are due by 2:30 PM.
January 21 - January 24, 2018 - Nominees will be contacted by the selection team

Phase 2 - Discernment
February 7 – February 28 (Wednesdays) - 4-week class for nominees conducted by the current shepherds and staff – to include discussion of CRCOC’s “I Do” vision and goals, doctrinal and / or philosophical issues.

Phase 3 - Introspection
March 4, 2018 – Deadline for nominee commitment
March 11, 2018 - All completed Introspection Forms due

PHASE 4 - RESOLUTION
March 25, 2018 - Announcement of nominees
April 4, 2018 - Deadline for scriptural objections returned to Kenny Elder or Greg Barnhill

Phase 5 - AFFIRMATION
April 22, 2018 - Introduction of Nominees and Affirmation Forms Available to all Baptized Members
April 29, 2018 - Affirmation Forms Due by 2:30 P.M.

PHASE 6 – INSTALLATION
May 2018 - Ordination of CRC Shepherds

You'll find passages that support the qualities we are looking for in these men, with the most important being their desire to be like the chief shepherd, Jesus Christ. You'll find passages point to who they are in their personal walk, their family, and how they already treat others. We desire for these men to be approachable for prayer, difficult life circumstances, and guidance on our path towards becoming more like Jesus. 

After prayerful consideration, please submit the names of men you believe should be considered for the ministry of Shepherd in this church. 

When you have completed the form, you may submit your nomination in one of the following ways:

• Give it to a Shepherd Selection Team Member (Larry Neahusan, Bill Dean, Marcie Miller, Gayla Gaudette, Kevin Temple, or Mary Mann)

• Mail it to Cinco Ranch Church of Christ, Attn: Shepherd Selection Team, 6655 S Mason Road, Katy, TX 77450

The deadline is January 21, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. No nomination will be accepted in person or by mail after this time. 

Please remember that each member of this congregation (i.e. each baptized believer) must submit a separate Nomination Form.  Joint submissions by husband and wife or by families will not be counted.

To be a candidate for shepherd, a minimum number of nominations must be received.  This number has been determined to be the greater of 25 votes or 15% of the total Nomination Forms submitted.
